I did a search around and can't find the answers to my specific situation, so hoping somebody with some experience may be able to help.

I am a Canadian citizen, living/working in Canada. I am married to a US/CAD dual citizen, but for tax purposes, I would prefer to avoid US Citizenship at this time.

I am a web based entrepreneur, and, my business partner is a US citizen/resident with businesses that a owned solely by him.

What would be the best/easiest route for me to go in orders get a US SSN to start building a US credit file with? I would also like to be able to utilize sites such as LendingClub.com which requires a US SSN.

I also need to stay living in Canada right now for family reasons.
