I guess it was Delta? In July, 1979 my sister & I went to NYC (from SAV) w our parents. Our Mom wouldn't fly at the time so we traded off train & plane. I went up on Amtrak w Mom & back on the plane w Dad. One of the many memories from that trip was taking the subway out to a Yankee game on bat day where they gave out full-size Louisville Sluggers! We still have that Mickey Rivers bat, as much as I tried to trade for Bucky Dent. It was one of Thurman Munson's last games.

Before that I remember my Dad bringing home mini DL soap bars from the lav & a DL spoon or 2.

When I was at Boston College I flew whoever was cheapest so it was a mish mash of DL, Piedmont, Eastern, NY Air (remember the baggie 'nosh' you'd pick up out of the bin when boarding?) & probably others I can't remember...typically with at least 2 stops/connections between BOS & SAV. I guess that's what it's like flying WN? Good times.

MrWeezer remembers his first flight, it was on a TWA 747 in the early 70s when his Dad worked in Germany. The FAs took him upstairs & let him ride on the beverage cart. ^
