The OP of that other thread was not dsplaced for a marshall (marshals don't demand window seats in Y). Despite initially denying that their plane experienced a substitution, in a later post, the OP confirmed that their plane was changed. At that point, we have a very good idea what went wrong to that OP. It's long been known that a change in equipment causes all sorts of havoc with seat assignments.
In your case, no such substitution is possible, as AA has completed MCE installation on all of its 763s (not the case for the MD-80s - the subject of that other thread).
Even though row 11 is great, I don't like bulkheads (inability to store any personal items in front of me), so I'd choose rows 12 or 13 instead. Bulkheads are always vulnerable to disabled passenger need (which will trump you).
