to be perfectly accurate, you should of course append "and accumulate the mileage" after bold text above ... I certainly wouldn't be the first to suggest that status-chasing is what prompts most if not all MRs; a LOT of folks (myself included) took advantage of that PIT/RDU/BNA/STL double MQM promo to make PM/DM in 2010, and I freely admit to my pair of 26-hr transcon round-trips in a 5-day period last Dec to keep GM after my business travel went to zero after a job change earlier in the year
