Chase has made exceptions in the past for issues like this. Please call again and hopefully a different supervisor/CSR will be able to help you.
Also, I have read on FT, when BA has even extended the 2 year redemption on the certificate for exceptional circumstances.
Hopefully it will work out for you eventually.
- Go to chase.com
- Login
- Select the BA VISA account
- Click: See account activity
- From the pulldown choose: All transactions
For each transaction there are two dates:
Trans date and
Post date.
Late 2012 transactions are probably still listed.
Find the transaction in question.
If the
Trans date is in 2012 you have something to pursue further, but if it is in 2013 the problem is that the merchant did not submit the transaction on the 31st, and Chase would be doing you a favor to credit it in 2012.
