Since my 1 year free membership is almost over, I tried this and got this message:

"! As a Presidential Plus account holder, your United Club membership will be automatically renewed upon expiration. If you would like to cancel your membership or for any other issues, please contact the United Club Service Center at 1-866-UA-CLUBS (1-866-822-5827)."

What is Presidential Plus?

I guess if I don't want to renew, I'll have to watch my account and cancel the card when the fee is billed.
