I just received an offer in the mail for this card with 1st year fee waived. This seems like a great deal but I have one catch.

I haven't yet met the minimum spend on my MilagePlus Explorer card with 50k miles in bonus. Can I hold both cards simultaneously to be sure I get my Explorer bonus?
