I should also say that when it was working, there was an option to either put in PIN or change payment type but yesterday and today, it defaulted to cc method without so much giving me a chance to change method of payment.
If it defaults to credit, just press the cancel button and that will take you to a the screen that asks you if it is debit or credit, At least that has been my experience.
