I might add that the mentioned FAQ even talks about honouring the EK luggage allowance on domestic sectors if travel is within 24 hours from arrival/departure on EK and clearly states that one should show the EK ticket/boarding pass at QF check in. That in itself can be interpreted as having no need to hold a thorough single ticket and an incentive to ticket codeshare flights, not to mention earning Skywards miles/tier miles.
Just to check.. A relative has booked a ticket from HAM-MEL on EK we bought her a ticket 5hrs after arrival on QANTAS to ADL so its a separate PNR does this mean if she shows her EK boarding pass she will have the 30kg allowance honoured on the seperate flight?
