I stay regularly at a Hyatt property in PA, which began allowing guests to have pets last year. (My concern about this is the noise, specifically people who go out for an evening leaving the dog in their room for several hours, but this is another story.) When I registered my concern with the FD, they suggested that for future stays I call the hotel before checking in, and request that I not be given a room on or close to a pet friendly floor. They also noted this in my profile.
