HH used to be a good value and Hertz is still a good value. Also there are other sources for UA (UR, Hotel points etc.) and AA (Diners, Hotel points transfer etc.) miles but HH and Hertz don't have so many sources. At least that is what I feel. I agree completely. I personally plan on redeeming my next batch for La Quinta points, which I normally wouldn't do, but I have about 6,000 LQ points just sitting and expiring at the end of this year so this will let me get enough for an award night somewhere and call it a day with LQ. Each situation is different so it's better to redeem based on your travel plans. My go-to redemption all things being equal is Club Carlson.
