i just cleared CPU at T-48 for LGA-DEN, which even on a 752 shocked me (gold status, S fare). thinking back on my other upgrades in 2013, as well as the latter part of 2012, they have been almost 80% on sUA or sUAX planes. only on SMF-ORD 739 and CLE-EWR 738 did have i cleared CPU since Thanksgiving.

interesting.
I have noticed no difference in CPU success depending on subsidiary fleet, either in advance or battlefield. The only flight last year for which I was the sole recipient of an at-gate CPU was on sCO SFO-IAH. And I've ended up failing at #1 on sUA flights.

I also don't buy the theory that future bookings have any bearing on upgrade success.
