+1 - No. It's $20K less federal & state income taxes & Social Sec. We're talking about maybe $12K to miss 1/2 kids lives and paying additional childcare costs out of the $12K.
It might not cost any more in child care. Dads don't charge.

But I wonder if the responses would have been the same for a dad of two small kids...
