You're saying that, but that doesn't mean Marriott is saying that it's the same as award stays re: the Cat 1-4s.

There have been reports of people doing it successfully - when their name is also on the ressie - but not necessarily when their name is not on the ressie, there's a dif last name & they won't be there.

If Marriott didn't have a problem w/ using the Cat 1-4s for anyone else, they probably wouldn't say non-transferable in the T&Cs. Non-transferable implies that it's to be used by the MR member.

Not saying someone can't do it, but not saying it's a slamdunk/your interpretation is correct.
