Samkey, thanks for all of those coupons (the numbers which begin with 4 letters) and the AWD numbers (Avis Worldwide Discount numbers, the numbes which begin with 1 letter).
However, it is important for readers of this thread to know - AWD numbers are risky to use without knowing the companies or associations those numbers are connected to.
While renters are not usually asked what their AWD is for, or why a renter has a right to use a specific AWD number, it does happen occasionally, ESPECIALLY when the AWD number is restricted in some way.
Examples of
restricted numbers are those for:
- Avis employees
- Government or military personnel
- Specific kinds of government contractors
- Specifically associated with a credit card, where the renter is not using the credit card associated with the AWD for that specific rental.
Examples of AWD numbers where
basically questions will almost never be asked:
- Numbers associated with hotel or airline loyalty programs
- AAA
- AARP
- Costco
- Walmart, etc.
