Not exactly recently, I've had mine for 2 years.
I'm pretty happy, it does what it's supposed to: take calls, forward, and answer (with email of voicemail). I don't care for the Ooma wireless extension - I use a cordless phone on the system and also have the system forward to my wireline and cell phones.
The most recent update to the Ooma Android app works pretty well. It does not allow incoming calls on your Ooma line (not a big deal for me).
Two quibbles that may or may not be a big deal to you: 1) the mobile app does not work over VPN. 2) The system cannot receive/relay SMS texts (making it problematic for porting a mobile phone number to it).
