TSA Administrator John Pistole told a House panel Wednesday that the agency stopped training new air marshals – armed, undercover officers who fly on planes to thwart terrorists – in January. The last class had been trained in September 2011.
These guys are some kind of scary super smart. Due to sequestration, they stopped training FAMs ~18 months ago. Yet the obvious implication is: 1) the sequestration is to blame for the catastrophic mess you are about to experience and 2) we need more money to keep you safe from the onslaught of pure evil (aka wheelchair-bound grandmothers carrying bottled water).
Here's another idea for the TSA, while they are working the details of abolishing the agency....
