My friend is actually staying at the Westin in Rosemont from Monday to Wednesday and was actually my first choice so she would not have to move her luggage around too much,but she and I agree to stay in the city.
Westin Rosemont is walking distance from Rosemont CTA, so if you stay there Thursday night you can easily get to the station in the morning and/or walk there Sunday night after a stay in the city. There are other hotels very close to either Rosemont or Cumberland CTA stop.
The way this winter has been going you should be fine walking around the city in early March. Pack some layers and waterproof shoes/boots.
