Are there any good resources to help me find accomodations in Bali? Took some books out of library, and did a lot of online searching, but have had trouble finding a suiable villa for our Bali stay. Looking for something nice in Ubud as well as Amed.
It's been a few years, but in Ubud I stayed at Kajane Mua in their Beji Villa and loved it. Boutique property, great location, great service. They now have a sister property a short distance up the road from Amed--Kajane Tulamben which looks pretty nice. Might be an option for you.

On that coast, I've stayed up the coast at Sambirenteng Village at Agung Bali Nirwana, nice and secluded but might be too far from Amed for you if you're there for the diving. You'll have to arrange a car to go anywhere though.
