I was able to use it on the reverse leg (FRA-JNB) for my wife and I on the 380...and we were able to 'confirm' it about 6 hours before the flight...we came in from the East Coast, so we had all day in Frankfurt, and they evidently had enough availability to give it to us on the spot...and to goto the LH lounge upstairs and walk directly into the upper deck of the 380.
