As far as "combining programs" for FF; I'd suggest searching the US website for buying up status. Generally in October anyone can buy up to a status level on US for the following year; CP included. The cost is scaled down the more you fly - but the general idea of buying up to top level status is unheard of at AA.

Keep an eye out on the US website October of this year. If "buy ups" are allowed for 2014, I'd bet the new FF program will be modeled after US. If buy ups are taken off the table or limited - I'd bet on an AA model.

Flying out of PHL I am pumped. Though the number of lounges is kind of silly here (2 US Lounges; 1 more on the way; 1 AA & BA).
