I would think most would argue that what Parker did at LGA was the opposite of foolish. He took an operation that had been losing money for years and traded that position for a DCA operation that is highly profitable.
I believe the thing that people will learn about Parker is that he is nobody's fool. He runs the business largely by spreadsheet. If something doesn't make money, he pivots to something that might.
One thing I respect about him is that he's not afraid to take risks -- and seems to learn from those which don't turn out as expected.
