If you list yourself as a US resident, and they do not ask you for your driver's license at the counter, and then you get involved in a traffic accident, the insurance might be void, due to you renting the vehicle based on fraudulent information, which is a criminal offense! The best thing for you to do is try to get a US driver's license, with a US address.
I was not talking about that. Most definitely when you go in to the location they will ask you for ID and whatever else and record all that info. My question is for people who have experience with foreign ID.. and these rates. You can book any rate online but when you go into the location they enter your info etc. I was about leaving the US resident box checked as default and just entering the code without changing my country of residence.
And why would I bother getting a US driver's license and etc just to get a good rate at a car rental place.. sigh.. but thanks for your response..
