The dine on demand from my experience is only on long haul flights. As AKL-MEL is only about 3.5 hours, you don't have THAT much time. I'm sure the crew would be okay with serving the meal after your shower, but it's not the same as on a long haul flight. I think what
albaonthego means is that the food that is served is almost the same in both J and F.
And yes, they do serve Dom.
