Forget the "conspiracy theory" that the new AA tail design is because it mirrors similarities of USAirways; instead I propose another conspiracy theory:

The reason for the new ribbon logo for American, is to mirror that of British Airways since they want to have IAG invest the max that they can to keep US' hands off AA, and ensure it stays in OneWorld. :P
