Looks like the best value for us will be a LONE3 or DONE3 ex BUD with a side trip down to JNB. I found return flights from BUD to JNB for $700 via Egypt Air. For the same price we can have an extra segment, greater flexibility, and effectively extending our RTW trip from a year to 15 months (by starting the xONE3 a few months after our positioning flights to BUD).
