It is like comparing apples to bowling balls, the question is are you interested in the hotel experience or maximizing your time at Disney?
I can't compare the 2 properties, but recently stayed at the Hilton LBV as a Gold. I was unable to get an upgrade the first night since they were exceptionally busy, but they offered to upgrade to a Disney view room for the last 2 nights of our stay. We did get executive lounge access, which we used for breakfast.
The Hilton LBV has a very good location, and shares a shuttle with 3 nearby hotels. The shuttles run every 30 minutes. Our 1st day at Disney, the extra magic hour was 1 hour in the morning at Magic Kingdom. Getting a head start on the crowds was nice. The next day the hours were 2 hours late at Epcot, which wasn't as useful.
As with so many things, YMMV, but to me it comes down to maximizing your time at the park vs. a better hotel experience.
