Yes, and another lesson to spend mostly on credit cards with the best cash back rewards and not accumulate a lot of points in a single program. Points are frequently devalued and almost never gain value.
Unless banks begin to be allowed to reduce the value of cash accounts by 25-40% and publicize it as an "enhancement", it is usually better to have more available cash than points!
