I suspect you are absolutely correct.

The 777-200ER/-300 J seats (and now the updated 747-400 J seats) are OK for a flight up to 7 or 8 hours or so, IMHO, but any further and their inability to go flat (let alone horizontal) is an issue. I find they're ok if you want to sleep on your back, but not so good for sleeping on your side. Really, I preferred the "7443" J seats.

The A380 J seats are very nice and I think will be great for long flights. Maybe a fraction on the narrow side, but I doubt this will be much of an issue.
