I like it.
Back when I was in college, the interior of the Chemistry building was painted a dull battleship grey. Everyone complained. Finally, a new department chair did something about it. The interior was painted a creamy buttercup yellow. Everyone loved it EXCEPT students who had already graduated, gone on with their lives and were back for a visit.
Those visiting graduated students universally hated the buttercup yellow interior. And why? In my opinion, they hated the change. They wanted everything to remain the same, so their memories of college would forever be enshired, including the universally hated battleship grey.
I always remember that when some entity (college, airline, etc) presents a "new look". Some will hate the new look just because it's not the "old look" of their youth.
As I said before, I like the new look. I also like taxi-ing out of LAX and seeing the retro signage above the AA hangar with the 1950s era logo. It's all part of the deal.
