Given Marriott Insiders
closed down the breakfast petition thread after people complaining it was several months later w/ no response by Marriott, I can pretty much say that it didn't mean diddly to Marriott.
Marriott's stated policy is no brekkie on weekends. However, Michelle on Insiders has said HQ won't penalize a property if it chooses (on its own) to offer coupons or a discount or keep the lounge open.
I would say properties deciding to offer coupons has more to do w/ input from elites staying at the property rather than HQ changing anything. For properties that choose not to offer coupons when I contact the property to update the sticky, the reason given is to comply w/ HQ directive.
Cheers.
