As for gaming hotels, i don't think the MGM Mansions are cash bookable. Just like the Bellagio villas, they're all reserved for the whales.
I love Wynn/Encore/Aria. Bellagio's flood is showing some age and could definitely use a face lift. Cosmo is only good for the view (and the wraparound corner suite). The rest of Cosmo is way too oriented towards the drinking/clubbing crowd.
If you want a fancy villa and aren't a big player getting it comped, go to The Mirage. They actually advertise them on their website now. That wasn't the case until a few years ago. I would bet the vast majority of visitors there never knew they existed.
