ORDPHX was great....it was the PHXSAN that was the issue. Basically what happened was the GA was having an issue with reseating a family of two adults/two kids in F, my wife started down the jetway and I had her carry-on and the GA started going off on me that I had to check a bag...I said I'm carrying it for my wife who is down the jetway and he then snapped back saying she had two carryons. I said she had a purse and a bag of popcorn that could be condensed in the purse. He refused to budge, I said get me a supervisor and she said it was the GA's call....I guess somehow this was all relayed to my wife who must have told the FA and the pilot overheard; GA then went down jetway talked to FA and then told me they would tag my bag to show that she wasn't undermining the authority of the the GA but said that I could take it as a carryon.

I suppose bottom line is I will never carry my wife's bags again nor will I ever attempt to take food on a plane because I may be over the limit for carryons :P
