I have a question, I am looking to book a flight with Royal Brunei to Manila BI689 on May 30 arriving at 11.25PM at Terminal 1, and then transferring to Etihad EY421 departing Terminal 1 at May 31, 01:15AM Manila to Paris -- which means a layover of 1hour and 50 minutes.
Will that be enough time for me to transfer? because i have read on some reviews of Manila airport that it takes as much as 3 hours to transfer.
And what is the procedure? they are separate tickets, because Royal Brunei and Etihad are not partners. I will have checked baggage as well, so I will need to collect it from the carousel. Do I have to go through customs and immigration after arriving? The airport does not provide much guidance, so i would appreciate any help from FT members. Thanks
1. Yes, 1h50 is enough, since you're staying within a single terminal.

2. See if your bags can be tagged to your final destination. BI and EY should have an interline agreement or something. If not, ask at the transfer desk at Terminal 1 about what to do.
