Sofitel (small suites though) and Park Hyatt are nice properties, but overpriced. InterContinental is a solid business hotel with large suites and good service (but not so good location).
My favourite hotel in Buenos Aires is the Home Hotel, in the Palermo district (where trendy boutiques, bar and restaurants are located). I loved the atmosphere of this boutique design hotel, where you can really feel the creative spirit of the town.
I have also stayed at Home Hotel and liked it. I think BA does small design hotels well. They're not luxurious like the PH, but they're nice, and good value for the price point.
