Don't know how many of you have visited the UA Forum of late, but in the last couple of days things have erupted, particularly over the disclosure that this years SWUs -- probably UA's greatest and most valued benefit -- are becoming much like AC's: only H fares can be upgraded [and I believe UA's Hs are roughly similar to AC's in pricing hierarchy and actual cost difference from lower Qs, etc.].

And since each 1K only gets six of these at the start of each year and cannot earn them as we do at each 10K threshold, this makes Aeroplan SE start to look pretty good. [Free lounge membership, instand KK...]

The threads are getting quite long, into the 3-page range each, but if you have a half-hour, take a look. Kinda "deja vu" all over again for those of us here.
