Oops, sorry. I was thinking of Homewood Suites. Everyone gets breakfast there and a decent one.

I mainly stay in HGI and HS in the US. I like those brands a lot. HS even gives everyone free dinner. But Diamond and Gold don't mean much. Upgrades are not part of the benefits. I've never been upgraded in 6 yrs as Diamond (& many yrs as Gold before the).

I'm dropping to Gold in 2013 but don't really care. Even in my last year as Diamond, I only got the minimum upgrade (one level up) if at all. I doubt I'll see any difference.
