I took the OP as saying his budget was at least $2,000, based on that he indicated he'd need to take more than one trip. He could do one trip to S. America plus SJU for under $2,500. He could also do a purchased ticket to do the LHR-EZE run I suggested rather than an award ticket for about $1200, plus the $1500/£995 ticket, bringing it up to about $2,700.
