I'm afraid I don't understand. If you are booking JFKHKG AND HKGSIN, no matter how much time you spend in HKG you have to pay extra Avios points for the HKGSIN leg. But no extra AA miles are collected for the second segment as long as the connection doesn't exceed 24 hrs.
