I'm flying back to Aus (SYD) next week and I'm coming from MSP.

So I'm just wondering about transit times. i think I've given myself plenty of time but I'm worried about all the shenanigans of having to check in from a domestic to an international flight in the U.S. I'm imagining it can be quite time consuming.

I'm flying all one world so AA from MSP to DFW and then QF from DFW to SYD.

Does anyone know if it is possible to check bags all the way through, or is this risky? They are ticketed separately.

My flight is due to land in DFW at 18.45. The QF flight is at 22.00.

This should be fine right? Do I have to travel far? And any tips for making the transit as smooth as possible would be gratefully received.
