Now *that* is something far more debatable (yet it's not how I read the original story). Considering the rule cited earlier in this thread, I'd find it surprising - because then it effectively results in adding bonus miles into the same FF account. The criteria allowing this is a lot more in some sort of "grey zone" than the case of maintaining separate FF accounts and using the officially-approved methods/rules for transferring miles/points between those related accounts.
