CX's programme to earn elite status is the MPC. But to join Asia Miles is free. And a quick note to Asia Miles stating said reservation may get the fee waived.

Asia Miles do expire after 4 years. So best if maybe BA miles (AVIOS) if within EU is all they want to redeem.
