I don't think it ever takes a few minutes - does it? That would imply automated ticketing, which Avianca does not have.
I have had these mileage tickets usually ticketed within a handful of minutes of booking -- had to pay a few cancellation fees because the time between me talking to someone cancel a booking just made and them to figure it out was well less than an hour on average.
