It has nothing to do with your status, I am GO and when I had my IFE problem on YYZ-HKG I had the ISM and Economy purser come specifically to assist me twice. It depends on the attitude of the crew. The same ISM also spent time to assist with another Y pax TV which also was not working despite that Y pax having no status.
