Dear folks,

Good day.

I am planning for a trip to New York via YYZ. I am one of those who needs transit visa while transferring in Canada and entry visa if i were to enter into the country.

My question is- i will have a long overnight layover in YYZ, arriving into it at 6.35pm and the next flight into New York is 8.15am the next day. I hope to clear customs, get into Canada to get some dinner and Canadian air/scenery.

If i were to do the above, i definitely can't just apply for Transit Visa. And will need to apply for Entry visa. But the thing is, would i get into trouble if the customs know i will be flying out of Canada again in a few hours later?
