Someone on PPRuNe says a water cannon will greet the arrival of the 928 from GYD on Saturday morning.
Indeed it will be.

bmi’s last commercial ‘BD’ flight will touch down at Heathrow on Saturday 27 October. The BD928 from Baku will arrive at Heathrow at approximately 10.30am UK time. It will not only signify the end of an airline era that has lasted nearly 75 years, but will also mark the end of bmi’s tenure at Heathrow Terminal 1, the operational home of bmi for over 30 years.

A special touch have been arranged to mark the return of this final bmi ‘BD’ flight. Thanks to some of our operations staff, it has been arranged for BD928 to land on the runway adjacent to Bath Road, and, as it taxies around to its designated stand, Heathrow Airport fire engines will greet it with a water arch to welcome it home.

A321 G-MEDG will also do a fly-by past Donington Hall, marking the last ever bmi flight.

Leaving the EMA hangar on 30 October will be the fourth aircraft to have been through the transformation. We’re anticipating that this bmi liveried aircraft will do a circuit when it leaves, enabling it to fly past Donington Hall.
