You need to re-read the terms and conditions of your card. If you take your card to a store and buy something, say a pack of gum, pay by debit with pin, you will receive points for your purchase. It says the same thing on their website and in this thread. If you aren't willing to try it or risk it, then just hit credit when paying.

As an aside, not trying to be snarky, but it would be a good practice to read the terms and conditions of things before laying out the funds/applying for cards. It will save your some headaches down the road.
