Unless LA opens up some award space, it looks like we'll have the better part of a day/evening @LIM for our connection. Although I generally wouldn't mind this, we'll have not insignificant carry-on luggage (not full roller size, but substantial and heavy enough, and containing valuables) to be an issue for just touring around town.

Suggestions for where/how best to pass the time, assuming our small dose of paranoia with our wares? I'm sure at least 2 of the hours will be spent on a nice dinner. Total ground time is 13 hours, so I figure 30 minutes for arrival tramites (no luggage to wait for, not peak hour), another hour to get to Miraflores or similar, an hour to get back to LIM, and I'd want to be there no less than 2.5 hours prior to flight time for the madrugada flight bank. Also, how does one pay the departure fee if it isn't part of the ticket (as this is an int'l/int'l connection)?
