Bravo. I don't think I'd have thought to engage the FA from the get go, but I applaud you standing up to this sense of entitlement.

This is just another example of a time where asking the person with the less desirable location to swap will more likely yield a good response (unless of course the bulkhead window guy/gal picked based on FEBO).
