Two things *not* to do. (Both apply to SNA-ORD, first class, about a week ago).

1. Don't sit in my seat before you ask. I walk on the plane and I see someone in my seat. Before I even walk down the aisle I tell the FA "Can you please help me? Someone is sitting in my seat." That way, the FA is already involved. She comes back and says "They are a couple. Would you like the aisle in the bulkhead instead?" Of course, I chose the window and want to sit with my computer, so I decline.

2. Don't give me the "stink eye" as you walk to your real seat. Any chance that I was going to reconsider went out the door as that happened. In fact, it made me actually enjoy saying "no."
